Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®)

Rice University partnered with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) to offer a three-part live, instructor-led online Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®) training program to help you prepare for the CIA exam and to earn the CIA designation.

The CIA designation is the only globally accepted certification for internal auditors and remains the standard by which individuals demonstrate their competency and professionalism in the internal auditing field. This preparation course is offered entirely online, includes live instruction and recordings are available in video (MP4) format. Those who successfuly complete the course earn a Rice Certificate of Achievement.

Vicki A.McIntyre, CPA, CIA, CFSA, CRMA, serves as vice president of finance at FirstPlus Resolutions Inc., performing internal audits and providing consulting services in the financial services, retail and nutraceutical industries. Through her affiliation with The Institute of Internal Auditors, she performs national quality assessments of compliance with the International Professional Practices framework for Internal Auditing of various internal audit activities. With more than 20 years of industry experience, she has served as a CIA exam prep instructor throughout the nation since 2009. Ms. McIntyre holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University.
